Star Wars Zero Company launches August 27, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S — a turn-based squad tactics game from Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment set during the Clone Wars, built around commanding a squad of misfits rather than following a single Jedi hero.
Turn-based tactics with a squad of your own
Combat plays out from a top-down perspective, turn by turn, as players control Hawks, the leader of Zero Company — a band of mercenaries and misfits assembled to fight an emerging threat to the galaxy during the Clone Wars. Recruited Custom Operatives can be built from a range of species (Devaronian, Human, Togruta, Twi’lek, Zabrak, and more), with voices, outfits, and other appearance details all customizable on top of the tactical gameplay itself.

Twelve classes to build a squad around
Squad-building runs through a class system — reporting differs slightly between eight standard base specializations and additional exotic classes layered on top, for twelve total. Each base specialization sets a character’s weapons, skills, and signature ultimate ability, giving players real room to shape how their version of Zero Company plays.

Editions and pricing
The Standard Edition is $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-ordering either the Standard or Deluxe edition adds the Crystalline Astromech Cosmetic Pack — an R3 droid, translucent crystalline astromech heads for the R4 and R5 variants, and the new BR-1 droid debuting alongside the game.
Why it matters
Turn-based squad tactics is a genre Star Wars hasn’t spent much time in, and pairing it with an original Clone Wars-era story — rather than retreading a film or show plot — gives Zero Company room to actually stand on its own. With Respawn’s pedigree behind it and a launch now five weeks out, this is one of the more distinct Star Wars games on the calendar this year.
