The Esports World Cup’s individual tournaments get the headlines, but the number that actually decides the summer is the Club Championship — and with about half the events finished, NAVI are on top with 2,250 points, with $30 million still to be distributed on August 23.

How the club race actually works

The EWC isn’t one tournament, it’s 25 of them across 24 games, and the Club Championship is the meta-competition layered on top. Organisations earn points based on how their rosters place in each individual event — a tournament win is worth 1,000 points — and the season-long standings decide how the $30 million club pot gets split, with $7 million going to first place alone.

That’s why an org’s Dota 2 result and its PUBG result end up mattering to the same bottom line. Breadth beats depth here: a club that reaches semifinals in eight games can out-earn one that wins a single marquee event.

Who’s won what so far

Seven tournaments have already produced champions:

  • VALORANT — 100 Thieves over NRG
  • Dota 2 — PARIVISION over BetBoom Team
  • League of Legends — Dplus over Karmine Corp
  • Apex Legends — UNLIMIT, with Team Vision second
  • Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves — Natus Vincere, Virtus.pro runner-up
  • Mobile Legends Women’s International — Team Vitality, NAVI second
  • Free Fire — LYON over AG.AL International

Week 3 added three more. Razvan “RvPLegend” Puiu took the EA FC 26 title 6-5 over Levy “levyfinn” Rieck, banking $250,000 from a $1 million pool. Virtus.pro won PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS across a three-day, 16-team bracket for $650,000 and 1,000 club points, with Nino “NIXZYEE” Mikec picking up another $25,000 as MVP. And Team Vision swept Aurora Gaming 3-0 in Teamfight Tactics for $150,000 and 1,000 points of their own.

What’s left

Roughly half the calendar is still to come, running through August 23. The immediate one is the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup, with eight teams into the Knockout Stage and the grand final set for August 1.

With 1,000 points on every remaining title, the 300-point gap between NAVI and Virtus.pro is a single tournament result. Nobody has this locked.

Why it matters

$30 million allocated by season-long consistency rather than a single bracket is a genuinely different incentive structure than esports usually runs on, and it’s the reason orgs field rosters in games they’d otherwise skip. It rewards the kind of organisation that shows up everywhere — which is exactly what the standings currently reflect, with NAVI, Virtus.pro, and Vitality all placing across wildly different titles rather than dominating one.

For anyone following along at home, the useful thing to know is that the interesting scoreboard isn’t any single game’s bracket. It’s the one that updates every time any of the 25 events finishes, and it stays live until the last final on August 23.
